Safety Tips About Phone Numbers

Do your children know your phone number?
This may seem like a silly question, but in the day and age of pre-programmed telephones and cell phones, no one memorizes phone numbers any more. But what happens if your child needs to contact you and does not happen to have their pre-programmed cell phone with them? They must be able to tell emergency personnel how to contact you.
Take the time today to make sure your children, have the following phone numbers memorized:
- Their home phone number, including area code.
- Both parents’ cell phone numbers.
- Both parents’ work phone numbers.
- The phone number of their school.
Even young children are able to memorize phone numbers. If they have memorized their alphabet, they are probably able to memorize a series of numbers as well.
And ask yourself this: do I know my children’s cell phone numbers? We do not always have access to our cell phones in the event of an emergency either, so if you don’t have these numbers memorized, please do so today!
