Are you Prepared? Ask yourself this...

If you were in a car accident and unable to communicate, do you have an identification card with your personal ID on it, emergency contacts, blood type, medical condition and medications?

If your house burned to the ground would your family photos, vital documents, financial information, insurance policies, be safe?  Would you be able to put your hands on bank account numbers, online passwords and other important information?

What if something happened to you? Would your spouse or anyone know how to access important information to pay the bills?

If all your possessions were destroyed would you have a home inventory to submit to your insurance company?  An inventory that shows everything you owned, when you bought it, how much you paid for it and what it’s currently worth?

What if all the utilities were cut off to your house? Would you have enough food and water to last three days?  What about 10 days? 

What if someone were sitting with your kids or pets; would they know whom to contact in an emergency?

If your child collapsed in front of you would you know what to do?

Does everyone in your family carry an ID card that identifies them, their blood type, medications, medical conditions, emergency contacts?

If your emergency contact is your spouse and is injured when you are and neither of you can communicate,  who would take care of your kids, your pets?  Who would notify your family?

If you had five minutes to evacuate would you be ready?  Where is your spouse and your children? Can you communicate with them?  Do you have a back up service to do it for you?

If your children or spouse were injured and couldn’t communicate would the hospital know to call you?

If you had to evacuate your home would you know what to take with you?  Have you put together a list or a kit that’s ready to go?

If someone were injured in your home would you know what to do while waiting for emergency services?  What if emergency services couldn’t get to you?  Would you know what to do?

When is the last time you backed up your computer?
